The course is divided into modules. These modules take you progressively from basic hairdressing skills through to all aspects of modern professional hairdressing. Hairdressing and haircare theory are included so that our students are knowledgeable and fully up to date with modern hairdressing science.

Students are assessed continually throughout the course and at the end of the course. Portfolio work also forms part of the curriculum and this is also assessed throughout and at the end of the course.

There is also a strong practical content, with students getting hands on experience every day.
The David Marshall School of Hairdressing Diploma is awarded upon successful completion of modules and a final assessment which includes your portfolio.

Work experience at the School and the Salon forms an important part of the course programme. This practical work is also part of your final assessment.

You get work experience as part of the course, both at the School Salon and at David Marshall Private Rooms.
